Arts Integration

What is Arts Integration?
Arts integration is an approach to teaching and learning in which the arts and another subject area are taught together with the intentional purpose to make connections, foster creative and critical thinking, and develop awareness of multiple perspectives. (NCMA definition source)

What does Arts Integration look like at ArtSpace?
At ArtSpace, each grade level consistently collaborates with our Fine Arts team to integrate all of the arts into their courses of study. This means that students are making art in their core subjects (Reading, Math, Science, etc) and also having those subject contents reinforced in their Arts classes. In addition, students have 50 minutes each day of either Visual Art, Music, Dance, Drama, or Technology Arts each day.
